This is a brutally strong, no-frills S Tier retinol formula that works, but it is aggressively formulated and easy to overdo. The 1% pure retinol (S Tier) is in a water-free, squalane/oil base that enhances penetration and stability, so despite the short INCI it delivers very high anti-aging efficacy—but that same high concentration, lack of soothing buffers, and simple emollient base make irritation, peeling, and barrier disruption much more likely than with gentler A Tier retinoid serums.
