High-performing UV protection with a surprisingly sophisticated barrier-support base, but dragged down by a heavy fragrance cocktail that sabotages sensitivity. Efficacy is strong thanks to broad-spectrum chemical plus mineral filters (avobenzone, octocrylene, titanium dioxide, phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid) in the top of the INCI, combined with S Tier barrier and hydration support (niacinamide, multi-weight hyaluronic acid complex, ceramide NP/AP/EOP, phytosphingosine, cholesterol) that genuinely justify Lakme’s 1% ‘ceramide complex’ claim. However, most of the glow-up actives are likely around or below 1% and function more as long-term support than dramatic brightening or anti-aging, while a dense mix of fragrance allergens (alpha-isomethyl ionone, benzyl salicylate, citronellol, geraniol, hexyl cinnamal, limonene, linalool) makes this a D Tier choice for reactive, rosacea or barrier-compromised skin despite its otherwise A–S Tier core.
