Beautiful oils and ferments, sabotaged by an aggressive essential-oil cocktail that makes this moisturizer a minefield for sensitive skin. Efficacy-wise this sits around A/B Tier: strong emollient and barrier support from shea, murumuru, desert date, sunflower, maracuja and cotton oils plus humectant support from hydrolyzed hyaluronate and lactic acid, with B Tier brightening from ascorbyl glucoside, licorice and turmeric—but most of these actives are mid–low in the INCI and likely at modest percentages, so anti-aging and brightening are helpful but not clinically high-impact. Safety is dragged down to C/D Tier territory by multiple sensitizing essential oils (lavender, lemon, peppermint, ylang-ylang, cedarwood) plus their constituent allergens (limonene, linalool, citral, geraniol, benzyl salicylate, etc.) and the presence of alcohol, which collectively increase irritation risk especially for rosacea, eczema, or compromised barriers.
