This is a legitimately strong barrier-repair balm, but it’s more of an elegant occlusive seal than a miracle treatment cream. Efficacy is high because the base is packed with emollients (murumuru butter, alkanes, synthetic beeswax), multilayer humectants (glycerin, multiple hyaluronic acids, polyglutamic acid, Tremella polysaccharide), and true barrier actives (ceramide NP, isosorbide dicaprylate, panthenol, soothing peptides), but most of the ‘fancy’ actives (peptides, ginger extract, Vitamin E) sit lower in the INCI and mainly support barrier and comfort rather than delivering S Tier anti-aging or brightening; this justifies an A Tier barrier/hydration score, not S Tier treatment-level performance.
