This is a clinically strong, no-frills AHA body lotion that’s excellent for texture but absolutely not a casual daily moisturizer for sensitive or unprotected skin. Efficacy is high because 12% ammonium lactate (lactic acid salt) in the first few ingredients is an S Tier, clinically proven concentration for exfoliation, hydration, and improving thickness/elasticity of photodamaged, dry, and KP-prone skin when used at appropriate pH. However, the formula is otherwise very basic (mineral oil + fatty alcohol/emollient base, no ceramides or barrier actives), so its power is almost entirely from the AHA and humectants rather than sophisticated barrier repair; that keeps it out of the 4.5–5.0 range.
